I'm changing my method of watercolour.
I've been watching a Jim Lovett video (A Queensland artist) who advocates the use of gesso as a glaze to soften colours. (I've used acrylic titanium white before, as well as gouache. But gesso seems to be more transparent.)
I've also been reading Lloyd Rees book where he talks about whitening his paintings as he became more mature, and trying to capture the light of the harbour. Both these influences are making an impression on me.
